World War II Memorial is located in Jekabpils Daugava Riga on the right side of the street Krustpils city park.
World War II Memorial was opened in the 1976th year, it created a sculptor Lev Bukowski and architect Gunnar tears. Memorial dedicated to the nine heroes of the Soviet Union in memory of their heroism and valor, releasing Jekabpils district of the German troops. Their names are: Michael Budenkovs, Emanuils Gottlieb, Alexander Gusev, Andrei Mirskovs, Eugene Moizihs, Mikhail Orlov, Zahars Osjagins, Otomārs Oškalni and Stepan Petrenko.
Memorial of the central character was a huge stone head of the Russian Revolution, Lenin's chief features, but the area of the sides - the pylons of the nine heroes of the Soviet Union bas-reliefs. After Lenin's revival has been dismantled, but the memorial remains to this day.
