Monument dedicated to Latvian soldiers killed in fight for freedom, Krustpils parish son of remembrance. The monument was unveiled the 1925th On the 27th September. Created by sculptor Wilhelm Treijs by architect Alexander Birznieka meta. Construction of the monument proposed Brethren Cemetery Committee Krustpils department. Monument to the opening was attended by Latvian Minister Rudolf Bangerskis war, generals Edward Smith and Krisjanis Berkis, Colonel bay of the artillery regiment of Latgale, Daugavpils district and county chiefs of war, Krustpils municipal and parish elementary schools, agricultural societies and farmers' union department. The monument was consecrated Pastor Charles Skujins. Monument Place has been carefully selected and found to be very suitable, because located next to the Daugava River to the floor of the coast, the site is highly transparent and is adjacent to the Krustpils castle, which was then housed in Latgale Regiment soldiers, so soldiers on the monument served as a correctional symbol.
