Food poisoning in Albania – street food safety tips

I spent two weeks in Albania last year and the food was incredible but I paid for it with three days of severe food poisoning in the middle of my trip. I want to go back but I want to be smarter about it. Which street foods in Albania are generally safe and which should you avoid? Are ice and tap water safe in the capital vs. smaller towns? I heard locals sometimes add water to fresh juices at markets which voids any safety benefit. Which areas in Albania have the best reputation for clean street food? Also, what remedies are locals and experienced travelers using? Should I carry oral rehydration salts, loperamide, activated charcoal? Is there a specific brand of bottled water that's reliably safe in Albania?
